Homeless Solutions:  Provide a Saturday Dinner

Homeless Solutions, the county facility for homeless families, needs volunteers to provide a meal.  A volunteer sign-up sheet and simple directions for this parish outreach ministry are posted on the Community Care Commission bulletin board, which is located just outside the Lounge.

This is a great opportunity for a family or 2-3 adults to join forces to provide a Saturday dinner for the families who make the shelter their home.  Please consider committing to a date.

Interfaith Food Pantry:  Donations Needed

The Interfaith Food Pantry has experienced an unprecedented need for services.  Due to the current economic downturn, many people have become unemployed for the first time in their lives.

The Pantry has responded to the swelling demand by increasing the number of days and hours that they are open.  Unfortunately, donations have not matched the demand and limits have had to be placed on certain products.  Any food donation is always welcomed; however, the following items are always in short supply:

     -  Diapers in large sizes (4,5 or 6)
     -  Baby wipes
     -  Soups
     -  Pasta

Share Your Faith:  Teachers Needed

All interested in exploring this ministry are invited to contact the church office at parishadmin@stpaulsmp.org for more information on the Church School and how you can help.

Lectors Needed

For the 10:00 a.m. service, we have about ten lectors who take turns reading the first lesson and leading the Prayers of the People.  Additional volunteers for this function would be welcome.

If you would like to be a lector for either the 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. services, please send an e-mail to siteadmin@stpaulsmp.org with "Lector" in the subject line.
